Latin Tuesdays is Canberra’s weekly Latin dance social, hosted at Highball Bar, where dancers of all levels come together to enjoy Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, and Kizomba. Whether you’re a beginner or a regular, this is a fun, welcoming space to practise your moves, meet new people, and experience Canberra’s vibrant Latin dance community.
The night kicks off with a free 30-minute Latin dance lesson from 6:30–7:00 pm, giving newcomers a chance to learn some basic steps and feel confident on the floor. Following that, an open-level 45-minute class from 7:15–8:00 pm ($20) continues the workshop, after which social dancing runs from 8:00–11:00 pm. If you prefer just to dance socially, you can join the floor from 8:00–11:00 pm for $15. Classes are designed to cater to everyone, covering beginners while also offering tips for regular attendees.
Many nights feature Bailamor Dance instructors, alongside other experienced teachers, making it a perfect opportunity to learn from some of the city’s best dancers while enjoying a lively social atmosphere.
